There's an interesting letter from a resident of Alaska about Sarah Palin. I thought about posting just the letter here but I feel fairly sure that it will upset some and start that tired old prove it conversation. Snoops did locate the writer of the letter and information regarding it's authenticity is also on the site.

Please read! http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/kilkenny.asp

Nothing to worry about unless you live in Alaska, because that's where Sarah is staying. I'm not for either candidate, I think they are both equally worthless and incompetent. But theres no way McCain is going to beat Obama.

I am not so sure. Don't underestimate the number of people who will vote just to vote against Obama.

If the religious right shows up in large numbers and if those persons who are afraid of the possibility of a black man in the white house show up too well...McCain may win.

Fear is a powerful motivator and the republican party is playing it for all it's worth.

the fear ticket has worked for the republican religious right for the last 30 years...they are pros at the propaganda..the left does not have a strong enough vision, platform or plan to counter that..Democrats have to come up with more than "we're not as bad as the Republicans", if they hope to capture the votes they need to get into the White House...

I know many people who were on the fence...they really don't want to vote for OBAMA. They are telling me they now have a choice. People I least suspected would EVER vote for a REP...are voting for McCain now...with Palin on the ticket. They love Palin.

No matter... you think sick willie & his sidekick Hillary were any better? Please!!! We had to endure them & survived. We will survive Sarah...which, BTW...she isn't running for PREZ.

OBAMA is...inexperienced & liberal. Nice guy but enuff said. Liberal...that's OBAMA. You can tell he's flustered...he's all over the map in his interview with O'Reilly & showing he's flip floppin' all over the place. Not good.

McCain reached out to everyone...I didn't see OBAMA do that at all. Big differences there. HUGE!!!!

She is a token woman.

A well marketed and packaged piece.

I guess that's what it takes to buy the votes of many Americans. That's damned sad.

Even in the republican party there were many women who would have been better veep selections.

Amusing isn't it that Obama, McCain and Biden will all be interviewed on political talk shows Sunday while Palin will be delivered in a package with a bow in a movie made by the party to be broadcast on Fox. She is not giving interviews...pretty telling in my mind.

Well marketed? That's what I think about OBAMA? From the time he was on OPRAH...17 mths of lovefest & he still can't get over the top. What does that tell you? A well packaged empty suit.

Palin did in one week what OBAMA & the liberal media in 17 mths couldn't accomplish...he should be at 80% approval but he's not what Americans are looking for. Who's that sad for? Maybe people just aren't liberal like the northeast & west coasters are. That's all.

BTW...I thought Condi would have been a shoo in.

haha Obama can and has answered questions from reporters. He doesn't need handlers and a script to do it either.

Here's something to think about. Life isn't scripted. The ability to think and respond under pressure is an essential skill for anyone who aspires to be the commander in chief.

Mrs. Palin is a heartbeat away from that office.

Oh I'm sure PALIN can shmooze with the best of them. I guess the debates will show that soon enough.
