I know it's changed but what's changed is the chop busting, we used to do a lot of it and now we're not allowed... Madam, you know of what I speak... It seems the mean one's are the one's that don't care for hearing constant whining and say something but the whiners are to be pitied and coddled...

You know, I will be a member here exactly 4 months tomorrow. And I remember when I first joined that I was so thankful that I finally found a site that was fun, exciting, nonjudgmental, and an all around fun place to be. But it just seems that it's not like that anymore. Yeah it's still fun, but not like it was when I first joined. Any more now you have to watch what you say for fear of either getting bashed for what you said, getting your opinion stomped on by someone who disagrees with you, or even making a serious thread and having some a$$hole come in and either make some snide or rude remark or throw it so way off topic to the point that you were better off just not posting the thread at all. It gets pretty bad when you have to title your thread "Serious replies please" in hopes that you'll be taken seriously.

People have a habit of accidentally getting threads off topic, it's not right but most don't mean to, they just start talking... As for the azzholes, some are truly that and others I think are trying to be funny and lighten the mood, but others have an opinion and it may not be what the OP wants to hear but it's that persons opinion and they should be allowed to state it...

I have no problems with people stating their opinions. It's when they start bashing me or others about our opinion as if they are trying to say, "I am right and you are wrong and I'm gonna let you know just how wrong you are and how right I am!" It's almost as if some people have lost respect for other people's right to their opinion. If people disagree with another's opinion, that's fine. But don't rake a person over the coals just because they don't see things the way you do.

And as for people getting off topic, most people when doing it, recognize it and some even go as far as to apologize to the OP, but there are others that intentionally do it, just because they choose to. And I get the part about people just trying to "lighten the mood" and those people after making a comment like that will typically say something like J/K or "but seriously" to let the OP know that they really are taking their thread seriously and not making a joke of it.
