I think getting the right combination of the two is the key. I did a thread once, on what would you prefer to be book smart, or street smart. I think there is a balance needed for both.
I also think that it's an individual gig. How many times do you see people playing dumb for their reasons? And how many times do you see men/women intimidated by intelligence? |

are just naive kids at heart and never took the time to learn life's lessons? Or do you think otherwise? they could also have been so battle-hardened by life's crap that they have no time to be anything other than intellectual. |

All of my intellectual friends are socially retarded.......life stupid.... I wonder how they got past high school without being killed really.......

I see women intimidated by it quite a bit. Things will go along just fine if I don't bother asking any questions deeper than the average mud puddle.
