I find that most intellectuals are socially retarded......... They know how to deal with equations, etc but are life stupid.......in some aspects

I think intellectuals tend to learn life lessons differently, they tend to internalize things more and maybe miss certain aspects of the lessons that a more extrovert person might pick right up on. (Not all intellectuals are introverts, but the majority from what I've seen are.) On the flip side of that, of course the intellectual might see details in a life lesson that a less intellectual more social based person might be oblivious to.

It depends... I've met intellectuals that can't tie their own shoes and I've met some that have "street smarts" too... Personally if you don't have some intellect I have no use for you in life, but if you have no emotions either and you base everything in life on facts and figures I don't have much use for you either. If there were no intellectuals Bill Gates wouldn't exsist and this conversation wouldn't be happening right now.
