i'd have called & left a message before she even got home! make up some bs that you were busy or something & call her! don't rehearse it either, just shoot from the hip. she wouldn't have given you the # if she didn't WANT you to call

I was out with some friends and ran into this girl that I have been interested in but had only met a time or two. We talked for a little bit and I got her number. It has been a little over a week now and I have yet to call her. Mostly cuz I feel strange just calling someone I hardly know and asking out. I was wondering how long is too long to call after getting a number? If she gave you her number, maybe she is waiting for you to call, if you don't she will be dissapointed...just call, see how she sounds when you call...go for it...

Any advice on going about calling and asking her out at this point, in hopes she has not written me off? Granted, I'm not in the dating game here, but I think waiting a week is NOT a "kill joy" by any stretch. Honestly, I'd kinda swing the other way if a guy called really SWIFTLY after giving him my number...can you say...DESPERATE?! I say, simply call...be honest that you have been a tad busy, not to mention intrepid/shy about calling...however, "here I am"! I sincerely wish you the best of luck.

well considering i've worked almost 80 hours this week and really have been busy, i think that's good enough reason.
