I thought I would check out this other 'free' dating site. I get a few messages, so I go to read them. I get a page telling me I have to subscribe for 99$ in order to read my messages.
Um......that sorta defeats the purpose of a "free" site!!!!! A site where the only way to communicate is via the mail service is totally useless if you suddenly have to pay to check your mail. |

I was on one like that too. The ad kept saying it was all free, then I get an email that says someone wants to meet me, I go to see who it is, and I get the message wanting my credit card number before I can check out potential friends. something smells fishy to me.

I'm always going to these porn sites that say they are for free....then when you give them your e-mail address, they blow it up. And you cant access the full site until you become a "gold member" I get all excited over nothing!! |

It's a free site for creating your page and checking out who's available. But you have to pay to be an actual member to get the whole enchilada. Sucks!

Yep. They should at least be up front about it. So I wouldn't have wasted the time creating the profile. I'm not so stupid to pay the money just because I've put time into the profile. I'll just not go back to it. Since I checked, and they didn't seem to have a deactivate or delete feature.

Most word it creatively.... "Free to join" which is the red flag for, you can create a profile and search, but not contact anyone. Some just say that outright ... "Free to search".
The only other free one that I have been on is POF. I don't participate there like I do here but I don't know why really. I think I got sucked in by a couple of regulars here.... |
