HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE LOVE?
THIS IS THE WAY I SEE IT BUT WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT IDEALS AND VISIONS OF WHAT TRUE LOVE IS TO US SO HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE LOVE? True Love,,,,,,When you can't stop thinking about that person. You want to spend every waking minute with that person. Your heart skips a beat when they walk in the door. Every minute away from them passes like an eternity and every minute with them fly's by at the speed of light. The minute you leave them, the only thought is when you will be with them again. You would do anything on the face of this earth to be with them and to make them happy. Every little thing that you do for them makes you happy. Even the slightest argument or misunderstanding crushes your heart and can't imagine waking up without them in your life. The future doesn't matter as long as they are with you. When you can stand in the middle of a crowd holding them and it feels like there isn't a soul around. The world disappears when your arms are wrapped around that wonderful person. Humm dreamy maybe but now how would you describe Love? |

LIFE is not always a bed of ROSES you will have THORNS on the way. You
must learn to deal with the ROSES & THORNS together if there is real love there then two people should be able to work things out in the bad times and take time to rejoice in the good times. My self have had relationships that are no more but it was because sometimes we are not as willing in our younger years to really be able to give that 100% to each other and slowly grow apart it will and can happen. Those pretty pictures are only as pretty as we let them be. You take the paints away from a painter and you will never know if they could be the next rising Artist with there paintings. Its the same if you take the trust out of a relationship. How will you ever know if it could grow to something beautiful if you have already thrown all the chances away. Just for thought!! |

Love is the selfless promotion of another's well-being. That is all.

The Triangular Theory of Love makes sense to me.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triangular_theory_of_love There are three parts to love: 1. Intimacy – Which encompasses feelings of closeness, connectedness, and bondedness. 2. Passion – Which encompasses drives that lead to romance, physical attraction, and sexual consummation. 3. Commitment – Which encompasses, in the short term, the decision to remain with another, and in the long term, the shared achievements and plans made with that other. A relationship has different types of love based upon which of the three parts are present. Consummate love has all three parts. Liking/Friendship only has intimacy. Empty Love only has commitment Etc. |

love is leading someone to the truth and watching them grow in everyway and catching them when they fall ....and celebrating while they get back up...
and you encourage them all the way. and sex |

I agree that the things you posted are part of love. To me, they are more new love, or even infatuation. My definition of love involves more than enjoying someone's company, wanting to see them and spend every minute with them, and feeling safe and wonderful in their arms. Although that's a part of it, I think true love involves a deeper connection.
It's when you really know someone, their strengths and weaknesses, and love them despite (or even because of) their "flaws". It's being able to talk to them after a hard day and have all your stress melt away. It's having them bring out the best in you. It's effortless connection where you feel like you were born to love them. It's a sense of sharing and fun... It's laughter, cuddling, being able to cry on their shoulder. And so much more. |
