A guy asks me for my phone number on the second message. Um, no. I explain why I say no.

So I get a message of him asking me to call him..... Um, no, same reason.

So he messages me asking me to drive up to Souix City Iowa to meet him.....

UM, SERIOUSLY NO!

Some people do NOT get it.

Do people think that friendship = intimate encounter? Am I not up on the 'code'?

people are impatient, especially in our internet-generation.

the wimmins are just as guilty of this as the men are, of course.

Haha. More than a few times I've gotten friend requests from men I've never heard from before with their phone numbers, telling me to call them.

I so agree, not sure why after saying hi men think u want to give them your phone number. Is it wrong to talk online for more then saying hi without thinking your going to get someones digits?

don't give out number or last name, sometimes not even first name. but what moofooga said is true, some women are just as guilty as the men

i had one ask me for my postal code.

in canada, a postal code gives your exact street name, which means this creep could have hunted me down.

it was posed in an innocent way as well, and i'd already exchanged a few pleasant emails with him. he said he had parents who lived about 3 hours north of me and his profile address indicated he lived about 1 1/2 hours west of me.

we'd talked about meeting in my area and he'd just either stopover for dinner and continue driving, or get a hotel nearby for himself, and finish the drive in the morning.

so he asked for my postal code so he could ensure that he found a hotel in the area. haha, that made absolutely no sense to me, so i told him to google hotels in the (name of my city) area and locate one that way.

needless-to-say, we never met up, haha.

probably because your crazy friend likes to stalk people she thinks should hook up with you.

I'm sorry you're offended because she said something like "hey guys, you don't live that far away.. you might get along." Though, I do find it strange that you haven't let that go.
