I am so brain dead with algebra. I am enjoying being back at school though. I tried in my 30's & with a kid & work it was too much for me. I crashed & burned. Algebra was the worst for me also. I want to try again next year. Good luck to you! |

I went back to school when I was 36 and got a degree in Photonics. Some of it was really hard (algebra and calculus will NEVER be easy haha) and some of it was fun. Its different when your older and its something you want to do and are willing to pay for. As soon as I get in a position to I'll prolly take more classes over the years. There's always new stuff to learn

There's always new stuff to learn I know exactly what you mean. I love to learn new stuff. That is why it is exciting to be back in the thick of it again. |

been going for what seems forever now. got my A.A. at the kind age of 36. why does it seem that when the going gets tough i get going? roflol
if its too easy i am bored! funny guess that is human nature back at Univ of Phoenix online going for first bachelors, of science in management. was a music ed major for a really long time but i dont think i could teach the mouths of today. get this, my mom is 75 retired but still teaching and in high school no doubt! yes she is a little whipper snapper but the kids listen to her and she is a fine educator! |

wait till you have to do Quantum theory for your prerequisite for nursing school or do you not have to Gwad I hope not! I think I only have to do upto college algebra. That is more than enough. Stoopid math we only need formulary algebra not the rest of that nonsence to do nursing well. |

i took college algebra at a local community college. i cried all the way through it...yep! i hated every last minute of it too. but Glory be to God, i got a B in it.

I love school, and I am thinking of taking a sabattical and travelling with my boyfriend while he works and getting my Master's online. Anyone tried an online degree? Good luck with your school, Karen! |

I am online as we speak. Taking classes through Univ of Phoenix and lovin every second of it.
I went to DeVry Online for awhile but i much rather enjoy Univ of Phoenix because the staff is much friendlier. though the cost is through the roof! |

Hey there,
I returned to school toward the end of last year. I'm 31. It has definitely been a challenge going back. But I will say I'm slowly learning to "study smarter". My study habits were so poor back in the day. Anyway, I feel your frustrations with returning to school! Just hang in there. Time will pass us by whether we attempt our goals or not. So why not go for it! =) |

Anyone tried an online degree? I have only taken online classes, but I know a few folks who have done online degrees. I think the chosen field, and school accreditation will determine how your degree is seen. Just do your homework and know what you’re getting into. Which I’m sure you bf, has already done! |
