Topic: Asked to dance... | |

So you're out at a club/bar/whatever and someone asks you to dance. Lets assume that you do actually like to dance and would love to be dancing with... say.. that person over there... (pointing at an arbitrary hot person over there) but this person just doesn't strike your interest. Do you dance? Or do you make an excuse?

dancing with that person just to be a nice guy would lead them on so...prolly no.....either be blunt and honest with tact or .....make the excuse...now, mind you this is taking into consideration you're not second guessing it because she is starting to look more attractive to you as a few minutes go by...then.....decide yourself....maybe try it then if it doesn't seem to work after a few...then be honest.

Sure why not, doesn't mean any thing but that you are being a nice person and responding to the persons invite.

Oh, well im a dancer, I dance with all, anyone who comes and takes my hand. Get a kiss, give a kiss and move on. If they are interested in something more than a dance and Im not, i let them know.

I would but don't know how to dance. Unless I've tired to dance like Ellen DeGeneres dances lol, then I guess I would be alright.

Since I am only there to dance, I accept.

A dance isn't a date .. and anyway .. besides keeping your options open, it can't hurt to give the 'other guy' a little brain shove ..
The night is young yanno? |

ITS JUST A DANCE, NOT A MARRIAGE PROPOSAL...GUYS IF YOU DONT DANCE HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO BE SEEN..EVEN IF THE GIRL YOU ARE DANCING WITH ISNT FOR YOU..THE GIRL YOU MIGHT WANT WILL SEE THAT YOU ARE WILLING TO DANCE...WHO CARES IF YOU CANT DANCE, BE WILLING TO PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE..OR JUST WAIT FOR A SLOW DANCE...U CAN STILL KEEP SOME DISTANCE BETWEEN YOU..ALSO, WOMEN THINK DANCING IS SEXY...

It takes alot for some people to ask and for that reason alone I'd hate to say "no". |

I agree that rejection is not good...been there done that...but honesty is the best way.....period. But what is the dishonesty in dancing with someone that you're not interested in? I guess it comes down to what is implied by dancing with someone. And I think that's what makes it hard to decide what's best. I think we're worried that dancing with them implies a level of interest that might not be there. |

Lets assume that you do actually like to dance and would love to be dancing with... say.. that person over there... (pointing at an arbitrary hot person over there) Well, if you would have gotten off your butt and asked the "arbitrary hot person over there", then you might already be carrying on a conversation with them or dancing with them, which would leave no room for anyone else to ask you to dance, right? |

I'd dance with whomever asked me........we are at a club to dance, right? As long as he wasn't all bumpin' and grindin' that would lead him to think that more is going to happen.
I danced one night with some guy and our merengue cleared the dance floor.........everyone was standing there watching us and when it ended, we gave each other a kiss on the cheek and walked away, most people were shocked that we had never met before. But we had fun and that is why we were there. |
