Its hard to believe that someone could actually access the database used
by the State of Indiana to get information about
Certified Nurse Aides, Qualified Medication Aides, or Home Health Aides.
This person accessed my full name, address, date of birth, aide
certification/registration number, and Social Security number.
You would think that the government would protect all of this
information, it should be kept safe and the last thing I should have to
do is worry about someone getting this information.
This goes to show you that no website is really safe!!

Thats scary. Whats worse is I saw on the news that someone accessed
banking info online and emptied her dead husbands account of insurance
money left to their son. Can u imagine?

Unsure,

You are so right! The disturbing thing is, before California passed a
law requiring the reporting of data breaches, it may have been common
for companies to mis-handled your personal, private information and -not
tell anyone about it-.

Check this out:

Does your state require notification of security breaches?

I got a letter from the Governor on Saturday stating all of this
happened. Then all of a sudden it was all over the news, tonight is when
I found out about the credit cards grumble

buy things~~I don't know how they get my number!!! I just got a new cell
number in October and all of a sudden all of these people start calling
me, its crazy

yea there is alot of stuff that companies are doing with our
inforation.. and it is perfectly legal because it says it inn the
contract with the little letters, that nobody reads.. or can because of
the print size.. If people keep calling you just ask to be removed fro
their list, by law they have but if you don't say it they will keep
calling.

OH I have told them to take me off of their lists, but other people keep
calling me. Actually my cell phone guy told me that he didn't think they
sold any information to companies. My son was having lots of people call
him while he was in classes, so we just changed his number. I did tell
my cell guy that if he did "sell" the information, don't be selling the
new number!!
Is nothing private any more?
