So, if you are generally negative about the opposite sex or don't believe that there is anyone out there for you, you won't ever find true love?

Not believing there is someone out there that is " perfect " for you isn't being negative.
It's just being realistic. You may find someone who is damn close to it, but you rarely, if ever, find perfect. |

If you are negative about the opposite sex, why would you want to be with one of them anyway? And why would they want to be with you, if you think poorly of them?

No one is perfect. But they could be perfect for YOU! ![]() But see....I don't really think there IS a woman out there who is " perfect " for me. That doesn't mean that I don't think there is a true love out there for me. I just think that looking for the perfect person is an unattainable goal. There will be something, at some point, that you don't find to be " perfect ". Besides, I think finding someone perfect would be kinda boring after a while. I mean, it might be a whole lot of " cool " for a while, but then there wouldn't be much of anything to really keep someone's attention or challenge them in the relationship. |

True. Obviously everyone will have little habits or mannerisms that will bug ya some times. All things being equal, they can still be perfect for you in all things that really matter.

I think we are talking about different things when we use the term "perfect". I'm not talking about a stepford wife/husband. I guess when I say someone is perfect for me it means I have found someone who loves me unconditionally...flaws and all. And, I love him the same way. Someone who works with you rather than against you. Someone who laughs when you laugh, cries when you cry and at least TRIES to remember to squeeze the toothpaste from the bottom if that is your pet peeve.

My perfect man will come complete with a backbone not only to others but with me. My perfect man will love me unconditionally but look at me stupid when I'm acting stupid. He will be intelligent but not overly cerebral. He will be emotional but not act like a woman on PMS. He will care about how he looks, but not to the point where he's prettier than me. He will be just as comfortable with his friends as he is with mine. I could go on and on.... |
