alright so i have a good topic or i think it is anyways
do you believe in marriage? do you think a relationship can really last? i pondered this a few months ago. with the divorce rate on the rise im starting to wonder if marriages can last now days. i always dreamed of that perfect wedding when i was little and now im starting to wonder if i even believe in it anymore 
so what do you guys think

Marriage is a union between two people that feel they are soul mates and want to spend the rest of their lives together. I believe it is necessary only if two people are willing to commit, have a family, and learn from each other from day to day. Some people rush into marriage or never give each other time to really know one another. That's when divorce come in. People just have to be smart before saying "I do".

I always thought it could. But remember that richer poorer part. Lookout you have to be able to get through those poorer parts.

There is a huge difference between a Wedding and a Marriage.
You can have the perfect wedding and your marriage sucks and thankfully ends soon. You can have a horrible wedding but your marriage lasts for decades. I do believe in Marriage- it has taken me a long to believe in it again but i do now- I believe a good long marriage is a compromise. Nothing worth having is easy and yes i believe it is work. I hope to have a great marriage someday. I need to find someone to start a relationship with but everything in time. |

Well people get married for different reasons and people have their own definition of what love is, I have never been married, so I don't really know, but I think the most important thing is having like qualities, being tolerant, compassion, and getting along.

I would consider marriage if someone gave me a (very) good reason to do it.

Great post laughsandgiggles, I agree too.
It would be interesting to compare the divorce rates with the rates of separation in couples who only lived together. Which one really works? I would bet that marriage would win out despite people saying, things like things change, never again, etc. Has their live-in relationships really fared any better? |
