Hmmm....there really isn't a whole lot around here. I'd probably take someone on a trip up M-25 around the Thumb of Michigan. Maybe make a stop in Grindstone City....maybe Port Austin. Either way, it's a beautiful drive on a summer afternoon. Just Googled...You can actually find grindstones on the beach? Yup. They are all over the place up there. You can actually walk ( in some places ) a few hundred yards out onto the water just by stepping across the grindstones. Gotta be careful because some of them are pretty slick, but it's kinda cool to do. And if ya fall off, the water is only about waist deep anyway. |
