Topic: the word "Whatever"

Have you-all had anyone reply to you with this word?? or, used it yourself?? (Just this past three months it has really caught on here in New Mexico.) I have noticed a few changes in people ,in general--being more rude to others. Have you-all noticed??

I deal with the public everyday and YES I have noticed that people seem to be more rude than normal. I dont understand why people cant just be nice to one another.

I hate this valley girl mumbo bumbo bullsht word. Whats worse is they have shortend it to just "whatev". Man it pisses me off when someone says that to me. It means to me that you do not have the intelectual fortitude to continue the conversation. Uually in terms of an argument of some sort and you have been proven wrong or dont have any excuse or reason and you just respond "whatever". Fck That.....thank you for letting me vent.
