6/25/08 Wanna Go (A song attempt.....lol) He always used to invite her On his frequent fishing jaunts. She always told him she had no time And now that memory haunts Her as She trolls Through the memories of their past. Fishing for a way around The hurt that she’s cast. And She trolls Through the ashes left behind. What to keep that’s left of her And could she change his mind? She walks into the foyer And sees his old tan hat. Tipped at an angle on her head In the mirror, it don’t look so bad. She finds a “gone fishin” shirt And a pair of his pants. Before she realizes what’s she’s done She’s decked out as he was, As she trolls Through the memories of their past. Fishing for a way around The hurt that she’s cast. And She trolls Through the ashes left behind. What to keep that’s left of her And could she change his mind? She didn’t know he came in Until, she heard him cough. And he laughed at her embarrassment At the fact that she’d been caught. He said, I’ve thought it over And if your willin’, so am I. We can find another angle And see how this one flies. Hey Honey, since your dressed for it, He said with a wide mouth grin Ya wanna go fishin? |

That was pretty cute.
Here's a story: A lady I spoke to at the funeral for her Mom told me she was cleaning her mother's house and so she changed out of her nice work suit and put on her Mom's house dress. Then, she found some earrings on a sofa and so she put them on her ears, so she could continue with what she was doing. To keep dust off her hair, she tied her Mom's scarf over her hair. The door bell rang. As she passed the hallway mirror, she was startled to see someone who looked exactly like her Mom, standing there in the hall.. |
