WHAT KIND OF RING???

What do you do when you have been dating someone less than a week (one who is awesome btw) that says I want to buy you a ring??? I think it is too soon but should the opportunity be blown away??? les then a week? To me, that would make me feel a little uncomfortable. Whats the ring for? i mean, where is he planing on going with this? I think the ring would be all about commitment, but I could be wrong. He tried to say I love you also but I wouldn't let him say it. It's kinda scary to me. |

Agree with darkowl, thats a form of mental control in a way for some, like ownership in some minds...way too soon for a ring.Question being.. if its genuine affection and he wants to buy u a gift or have a way to feel closer to you with something affectionate that he gave,as in knowing u have a gift from him will make him feel closer to u in a way.It could be just kindness from puppy love, but either way its too soon to accept things beside admiration

Take him to the local arcade and point out the ring you like in the gumball machine.
Let him feed a few quarters into it, and when he doesn't produce the ring of your desire, tell him you like one of the others better anyway. Win/Win He has given you a token of his friendship, and you have allowed him to do so in a fashion that you can be comfortable with. I would think it would be great fun and a nice silly story to tell everyone who asks why you wear a Felix the Cat ring on your finger. |
