 Do you think it's okay for a husband to have an EMOTIONAL MISTRESS? Do you think it's okay for a wife to have an EMOTIONAL Affair? Would there be any difference because of gender? Why? (An emotional affair = non-sexual).

Marriage includes both aspects, emotional and physical. To become emotionally or physically involved with someone else would translate to cheating to me. I would wager this would have a much larger impact on a woman since women are more in tune with their emotions. Perhaps (this would depend on the individual of course) an "emotional mistress" is a greater infidelity than a physical one.

I agree 100% that no kind of affair is acceptable...but when it goes from just a physical thing to an emotional thing..it's worse. In some ways, I have to say it'd be easier to forgive a physical thing, an emotional thing would be harder.

I think a Man, and a Woman, should stay in touch with their peers outside of their marrage. The communication with others is important. If its in a group setting that would probably be the best, so there is no trust issues. The World changes,People change, and Peoples Veiws change. I think its Crazy to think you can get all the Stimulation you need from one person. Thats like saying, everyone should stick with thier own kind

every couple that I know that has had friends that they share their emotional ties with has had an affair as soon as you tell this friend of the opposite sex what your man or woman is not doing for you at home, believe and trust they are going to do their best to step up to the plate if I can no longer communicate with my significant other, then the relationship is over... I would end it and move on cheating is cheating doesn't matter if your having sex with the person or not |
