i have been writeing a letter for three hours here on jsh to a member. i kept getting interupted by another person so i had to stop writeing my letter and swith from letter to another window and back to letter alot. then my daughter called, then i kept getting popups and between all this i lost the leter some were. is there anything here on jsh to help me retrieve the letter i was in process of writeing or did i just lose 3 hours on a letter?

I think you lost the letter, but you can ask the mods. Next time you're composing the Dead Sea Scrolls, you should do it on your word processing system so you have a backup.

If you haven't logged off, go into your history file and see if the link is in there for the page you were writing the letter on......click on that and see if it's still there......
Long letters....text file on the desktop then cut and paste!!! Wish you luck |

usually with me when im writing something i will open up outlook express and open the email part and write and save to send later... so that way i wont loose the info
and yea you would loose what you wrote other wise |

Just food for thought.... I so hope the three hour composition was not a first time mail, if I got a long long, TMI first letter from a member I'd run far far away. I'd say two paragraphs is right. No longer. |
