Much solitude and serenity
Reigns in my self-built paradise
With fragile innocence to own,
Cloaks of gaiety and freedom.

I was my own knight and warrior
Strength and fearless, my shadows
Woven within the sense of being
That my soul nurtures and built.

Peace has been my own sky
Beneath sunrise and sunset;
In the endless cycle of bliss I’ve set
My world was charmed.

And then our worlds collide.
Out of nowhere, you came
With spell stronger than mine
The wind whispered.

You’ve known that I hide
In the middle of the crowd
I grieve in the midst of laughter
Lonesome in the height of victory.

In the silence of your voice, I heard
Songs of hidden truth unsaid
You are the mirror to show
The way beyond the world I made.

I fear the force you bring
So strong, unknown, untamed
For mine is but a tiny speck
From your overwhelming sky.

Should I then take a safe retreat
For sanity to hold me high?
Or, should I run away again
Like I always did.

Here I am thinking aloud
As fate leads me again
Toward the pathway of hearts
That others mostly seek.
