“Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly]”
- 1 Thessalonians 5: 17

We are encouraged to ‘pray at all times’. Prayer is part of our daily lives. No matter what we are doing – whether going off to work, in meetings, driving our kids around, at home doing housework, out playing sports. Whatever we do each day, we can still pray. It should be natural conversation with God throughout our day. Yes, there are times when we need to set aside other things to ‘pray’, but mostly we can pray throughout the day.

So as you go off into your day,
Remember you can unceasingly pray!

When God Heals

When God comes to heal us
It’s final and complete
There is nothing that is lacking
When He meets us in our need

Whether it be in our body
Or the hurt within our soul
He will touch the point of need
And will truly make us whole

His healing is there for you
Just receive it from the Lord
Believe upon the living word
That you can be restored

Wherever there is weakness
He is the strength we need
And He will gently lead us through
And heal the heart that bleeds

Jesus came to restore us
To fullness in our God
But Satan has come to devour
And to kill, destroy and rob

But Jesus won the victory
So we need not be afraid
But claim the victory that is ours
And no longer live enslaved

We need to rise up in our faith
And not depend on how we feel
Keep on praying and standing firm
For our God surely heals

I so appreciate the prayers and well wishes for my niece, Jackie. She has her second surgery in about an hour where her back and pelvis will be fused and rods and screws will be placed in both, all with the hope that she will be able to walk again. Physically she is doing somewhat better but emotionally she's not. She doesn't want to talk to anyone, not even family and cries alot, some from the physical pain but more so from the pain of losing her husband. All we can do is be there for her and the kids and love her till the tears stop. She asks what she is supposed to do, her heart is broken and sadly she didn't get the closure Dean's funeral might have brought. She was not strong enough to be released even long enough to attend. We've been told that she may be off the respirator after this surgery but still not out of the woods enough to go to a room on the floor.

Thank you again. I will post an update after the surgery.

Prayers have certainly made a difference with my niece. She is resting now after almost 9 hours in surgery today. Internal damage was more extensive once she was opened up but the doctors feel her prognosis is better, she's going to be in ICU for some time to come but they pushed the family out tonight to go home to rest..guessing they might be tired of looking at haggard faces. I cannot say enough for the care and nurturing she's getting and now she is in God's hands. Jackie has always been a fighter and I hope her will to fight, to live for her children will carry her through. She remains on a respirator but has been able in the past two days to respond to us by writing on a notebook. She is frustrated when she has to be restrained but we've explained it's in her best interest so that nothing is pulled out while she sleeps.

My heart is full from the prayers and well wishes and I share them with the rest of my family. We are all so very grateful because prayer is what Jackie needs now to get through the long road ahead.
