For those of you just tuning in: On monday my apartment was robbed, but,
nothing of mine was stolen. Only one of the 4 roomates stuff was taken.

Today was the first time I got to talk w/ him. And he told the story of
the police arriving taking a report, and all that stuff. As the officer
was leaving, he said: "I'm suprised anyone lives in this place, being
scheduled for demolition soon and all"

Isnt that special? This hole is scheduled for demolition, and the
landlord gives us no heads up. Gotta start looking for a new place - and
'soon'.

Mike,
Isn't it a landlords legal obligation to let you know as tenants what is
happening with the building? I would look up on tenant rights and you
might be able to go after him for misplacing you or, at least not saying
anything about it. I did some research where I use to live and I had a
huge case, I filed and won!! Crazy how this world works these days lol

Hey Mike, this is your big chance. Get a little apartment. One room
with a sofa bed, lot of fake tiger fur, a frig and hot plate. All cozy,
just what a hamsome bachelor like you needs. Oh, just be sure you have
indoor plumbing. HAHA I'm really sorry, but laughter is the best
medicine, unless something like that happens to me.

Hey thanks everyone - I might be knockin on your door for sofa space.

Sushi suggested "Get a little apartment. One room with a sofa bed, lot
of fake tiger fur, a frig and hot plate." I looked around my 9x12 room
and thought - wow it would be great to have room for a little fridge!
Maybe even a proper sized bed!

Yeah, its time to find a proper place. I'll have to make a posting soon
about some of the "un-invited" roomates that we have.

Time to relax, meditate and visualize that little apartment ...

"You can put your boots beside my sofa any time".
-- you may come to regret those words. Despite my cowboy sounding name
'Montana', i dont have any boots. But, if you got sofa space, I could
certainly go buy a pair. Ever hear the Zappa song "..Going to Montana &
raise me up some dental floss.."? Seemed related, well, maybe distantly.

"Time to relax, meditate and visualize that little apartment ..."
--Oooh someone's on the ball tonite! I got the 'little' apartment vision
as cold reality here. I will visualize the 'little bit bigger' apartment
instead. Something that doesnt have any racoons.

Well, they say that when one door closes, another one opens. Just thank
the Lord for the heads up notice, even though it may have been through
an unfortunate event. I would have been worse if nothing happened and
you got evicted a few days before the demolition started.
Now you can start looking with less stress and probably fine a better
place than the one you have.
Just be positive about it.
