When I got married I took the other name, and it was hard for me to write. I think it was just the letter it started with and my handwriting vanity.... Honestly, I always missed my old signature. When I got divorced I eagerly took back my name and therefore, my wonderful and scripted signature.

If I re-marry, I'm still keeping it. (My maiden name) So I honestly can't say I will ever be in that situation....

I say to Eileen, practice practice practice..... it is daunting, way more daunting, than the first few months of the year to get it right. I am assuming she may have been married before, but I don't know. As we get, um, 'set in our ways', it is harder to adapt to such things. In a hurry or a moment of tiredness, she might very well blurt out Smith instead of Johnson! Or write it out...

I used to love to practice my signature... it reminds me of my true unicorn days, filled with hearts and rainbows on notebooks. What an exciting time and I am so pleased you two are back to that moment in this area.
