“The Lighthouse”

As we walk along on the sand.
Swaying arms hand n hand.
We listen to each other speak.
Of the wisdom we both seek.

As we watch in the distance.
What seems to be a timeless existence.
With no care in what lays ahead.
And nothing we would dread.

For this moment we hold.
We are willing to let it unfold.
As we go along and see
Is this life for you and me?

Glancing at the water it looks like glass.
It reflects the lighthouse surrounded by grass.
That stands there all alone in the dark.
Slowly the light sends out a spark.

Over the water it does glide,
There to help guide.
Like and omen in the night.
It shines its ray of light.

It seems to be there to help guide.
Not only the ships but for us it will provide.
A light that is so needed for us to see.
There is a life ahead for you and me.
