We have troops in the Middle East.
Everyday must fight the beast.
They touch the pictures in there pockets.
As they listen in the distance at the rockets.

They hold in there hand a shell.
That reminds them they are in hell.
This desert they do roam.
At night they dream of home.

They watch each day as there friends die.
All they can do is sit down and cry.
They try there very best.
To get some rest.

Times it seems they’re making little progress.
They know they will not settle for less.
There next move they must plot.
Keep all safe, and get no one shot.

They have taken on this task.
All they ever ask.
Is they are paying a debt.
That we should never forget.

They are not doing this for a story.
Instead it is for Old Glory.
They pray to God above.
For this country they love.

Remember when they come home.
They are awesome.
Never make them feel unwelcome.
Instead give them a Hero’s welcome.

They do this for you and me.
So we can live and be.
They love this country it is true.
They do it for the Red, White & Blue.

Was reading one of the forums today ahout our troops. We have a lot to
thank for. If it was not for them we would not have the freedom we do.
We have so much even on our worst days it would be like heaven to them.

Bumping for Dad see he had this love for Old Glory never really
understood till he passed away he served two terms in the Army he was in
the Korean War. He was the first of our family that had join the
military after my grandfather came here in 1903 from Germany at the age
of 6. So my dad always wanted to be buried by the American Flag which
flys high less than 20 ft from him.
