OMG! I just saw this on the web! Morgan Freeman is a REAL person, not your typical Hollywood phony. Freeman in serious condition after car accident Aug. 4, 2008 09:39 AM Associated Press JACKSON, Miss. - Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman has been injured in car accident in Mississippi and is in a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Kathy Stringer says Freeman is in serious condition. The accident apparently occurred in Tallahatchie County Mississippi, but the sheriff's department referred calls to the Mississippi Highway Patrol. A highway patrol spokesman wasn't immediately available for comment.

wow...too bad for him, but hundreds of people end up in auto accidents everyday..are their lives worth less because they are not famous???....

Until there is a name attached, no one really cares. George Carlin said it best... You know how when you see a tradgedy on TV? "5000 Dead." The first thing you do is go "Where?" The news man says "India" and you say "Awww, that's no fun." Everyone wants to see accidents local, that way they can go down and see the carnage for themselves. The closer it is, the more fun for "me." (Note entire thing isn't in quotes, but that's the jist of his routine)

Prayers for him and his family for sure! He's always been a big time favorite of mine. I sure hope he pulls though and can continue on his inspirational journey here on earth.

OHHHHH, Lord! I love him. I will keep him in my prayers for sure. It hits home more when you know who the person is. No harm in wishing him or anyone a prayer when they are hurting. Many pray for those who've been hurt in all the things that have been on the news, or posted here. Including me and all these wonderful people. Not all of us are rubber neckers! Some of us really care and I resent being come down on for caring. Pffft!
