LOL! Buttons, you reminded me of an incident I'd forgotten about.......

My daughter was quite young at daycare and I was friendly with all the
kids. When this one little white girl realized I was my daughter's mom
she said to us "How can she be your mom?"

I said "remember when they have the paints out in the class...." she
said "ya".. I said well, when you mix red and yellow, what did you get?
she says "orange". I said, well it's the same kind of thing. Her
father is brown and I am white and when you mix them, you get light
brown.

The little girl looked at me a smiled and said "okay" and smiled and
said "see you tomorrow".

My self I don't have a problem with interracial dating to each there
own. I must say that I tend to stay with white guys those seem to be the
ones that have appealed to me. But I do not have a problem with anyone
that does. The color does not make the person. It is the way they treat
others. Now I have dated a Spanish guys and a Native American guys they
were no differnt from the white guys. But like I said I don't look down
on anyone for who they date or don't date. I just seem to always date
the white guys.

Love doesnt come in any specific color.Id love to have it no matter what

I have absolutely no qualms with inter-racial dating... as a matter of
fact, my children are mixed black and white. They are beautiful, smart
and healthy... who could ask for more!!! There color makes no difference
as to the type of people they will become. They are loved by many and
accepted by most... they get the best of 2 worlds!!!

It seems some parts of the country has a different tolerance level.
Speaking for Illinois and Indiana, (as a majority) I don't think kids
encounter the kinds of bigotries that existed say 15/20 years ago. I
see kids of all races in families that are obviously not their own. But
there is so much adoption from overseas - since WE can't seem to give
homeless children to homes that are not UP to "somebody's" idea of
perfect. The point is, here in the midwest, you never know by how a
kid looks who his parents are, so I guess we "finally" just don't care
anymore, they're just kids.
