I do see on the forums that a lot of people are experiencing difficulties in the dating game because of distance!! Why????? I would give anything to relocate and start a new life somewhere!!  If I wasnt going to college right now I could relocate and start a new life.

I am fortunate, I have the means to move and be with my baby. If I didn't, I would have never started this! I am from the east coast anyhow!

i wouldnt relocate, i couldnt cope being so far away from my neice and my family.

A lot of people will not relocate due to jobs and family...I can get that...I would not want to leave my kids and grandbabies...just me. But there is a lot of people on the site who has no kids but allow jobs to stand in their way. If there was a chance of real happiness why let a job get in the way of it!! JMO |

It takes me a long time to get to know someone well enough to know if I want them in my life. If there was a great distance involved, the expense would be prohibitive. It would involve numerous trips over a long period of time and even then, you don't get to see the person in your day to day life in their own environment. You get sort of a "Sunday best" version of the person.

But there is a lot of people on the site who has no kids but allow jobs to stand in their way. If there was a chance of real happiness why let a job get in the way of it!! JMO What if your job IS your only source of happiness and stability at the moment? You give that up, something you love, for something that may not last? No thanks... |

Well a lot of people can't uproot children and most of us have them .. I have no problem with distance though .. I like my space while getting to know someone |

I couldn't relocate for many reasons, at least not right at this point in time.

because some of us like to live in houses and eat food. Yeah, that too

Its a very small world on a large planet. With multiculturism the way of the continents now....I say why not look far and wide for your true love. She might be as far as 80 days....or right next door. Life is too short to accept!

JMO The long distance part is hard, of course, but when you are willing to try....the results will astound you because when you ARE together, the time is incredible. As for me, I have put 19 years into my job and I would be foolish to throw away a Federal job, when if I just have some patience, I can get a transfer and be secure in having a job and money coming in. |

My kids are the only thing that bind me to the town Im in.. I like here though.. I wont move and uproot kids, this is there home and its stable and comfortable, i couldnt do it to them

If one person can relocate then it can work. But, even the time it takes until they can relocate can be taxing on a relationship. LDR's are only for the most brave and strong and trusting and adaptable! Thats for sure!But when ya find the one,Is is so worth it!!
