Can anyone tell me why are some ladies afraied of true love?

I don't think the fear stems from "real love" as much as it does from
the possiblity of getting hurt by allowing another person to get that
close to you. If you don't fall in love with someone, it is virtually
impossible for them to hurt you. Self preservation. Just my opinion.

Second that Ghost.

ok lets just say, that you love that person, and they love you also, but
then when it start getting deep they start pulling away.

Marie55 have you ever done that? got near someone, and then started to
get a little afraied and started to pull away? and you to ghost.

I've done that in the past, and I agree with Ghost...its a self
preservation type thing to keep from being hurt, especially those who
have been hurt very badly in the past

even when I am careful, i still end up with the short end of the stick

Woooo I know just how you feel my friend. I met a guy on this very site
that acted the same way. You meet a Cowboy and just as soon as you try
to remove his boots take his hat and pull that straw out of his mouth he
runs off down that dirt road path like you tried to steal his
horse. I will say this I have said it once and I will say it
twice if you put on your profile that you are looking for a good woman
or man. Don't get scared when they get all up on ya. Leave the past
behind ya. I know that the pain is hard to get over. If you don't then
the person that you have been looking for will walk out of your life and
go and park his or her boots somewhere else. Life is to short
to allow all that junk and muck that you have gone through to keep you
down! Live Love and be happy! Your on this site to make friends and find
Lovers. LEARN FROM THE PAIN OF THE PAST. Then take that hand that is
streched out in front of ya and smile and enjoy good luven and a nice
glass of wine. WOOOO HOOOOO GO GET-EMMM!

i believe its a sub consious defense that we as peopl put up so we dont
get hurt. if the feelings are true then just slow down a little and
show the person that u are willing to wait untill they are 100% ready

Love makes the world go round, so they say. My world has stopped
turning, many moons ago. But hey, someday my day will come. I have the
love of my children for now.

i willnever run away from real love...haven't found it yet though so i
wouldn't know if i would....i hear it's fun...would probably not run
