There have been postings on women being too independent and I'm just wondering - guys do independent women make you feel less - I dunno "manly"? I consider myself an independent girly girl. I pay my own bills, I can and do change my own tire when needed. I like to watch car races and can discuss the race intelligently. I play a decent game of pool. I love to fish, I bait my own hook. I also dress sexy when I go out, I like the guy to get the door for me and I don't like bugs. It just seems that guys I date are very excited when we first start dating, then when all the independent stuff comes out - they just. . . drift away. So I was wondering if being independent makes guys feel like they're less? to a certain extent but when it comes to the point that women can defend theirselves (i might catch hell for this but just keep reading),it kinda makes us feel less needed because men have always been the protector type and when we have nothing else to protect than that is a painful blow to us. |

Webster definition of relationship
One entry found. relationship Main Entry: re·la·tion·ship Listen to the pronunciation of relationship Pronunciation: \-shən-ˌship\ Function: noun Date: 1741 1: the state of being related or interrelated <studied the relationship between the variables> 2: the relation connecting or binding participants in a relationship: as a: kinship b: a specific instance or type of kinship 3 a: a state of affairs existing between those having relations or dealings <had a good relationship with his family> b: a romantic or passionate attachment. Hmmmmmmm Websters seems to think a relationship is easier to define than that of independence.... But what dose a dictionary know about affairs of the heart? |
