I usually ask the person out but am thinking of doing some reversal and letting them ask me out first

Do you always make the first move in relationships, or do you wait to be asked out? Here's my situation -- I just don't make the first move at all because I never have any idea what I'm doing. This has resulted in a lot of very short-term, briefly fun relationships initiated by others. I'm starting to think that's the only thing that makes any sense for me!
