When I was a kid
I was attracted to older kids
Smarter kids
In my play pin with the other kids
All they did was goo-goo ga-ga
I was like Stewie from Family Guy
"What kind of gibberish is that?"
And my dog Mojo can talk like Brian
Only my dog says, "I Love You"
I should teach him to say more
Like, "My Owner thinks your a hottie!"
That would be useful
He could be my wing-dog
Without licking strange faces
Before I get the chance too
Man, I wish I could do that
And get a, "How cute"
That would be the life
Much better than handcuffs
And restraining orders
Able to piss on a fire hydrannt
As a dog
Sleeping when I want
Eating when you feed me all the time
The variety of treats I spoil him with
I would like someone to spoil me for once
Show me what it's like to have my belly scratched
With my paws up and my tongue waggling
As you feed me treats


As the years passed from kid to teen
I started gravitating
Toward the older scene
Kids once again
The smarter kids
The ones that would buy me alcohol without questioning me
Because I always said, "You can keep the change"

As I grew into my twenties
I felt eagerly inclined to
magnetically propel toward
the older crowds
The visions
The wisdoms
Teeth jumping up and down
All the time
with uncommon talk

Like not trying to learn a new language
But actually wanting to learn a new language


People who knew more than me fascinated me
I was always zealous to want their knowledge
sealed up in a zip lock and stored in my own
freezer only to thaw out when necessary

As you can see people of knowledge captivate me
They wrap their head around my head
I feel like a steel ball in their
pinball machine brains
Rolling bouncing
Off bumpers
And up and down ramps
Their ears my paddles
Their wit every ding
A point adding up
A higher score soars
