Frankly, I'm not going to go out on a date with a man who lives 40-100 miles away without getting to know you online first. So far, the majority of my messages are just phone numbers, and I don't give out my number until a man has earned it, a little. Make me earn yours, or I figure you just want a booty call. I could pick up guys in person if I just wanted to get randomly laid, so obviously, that's not what I want.

Just delete the jerks and move on...spend a lot of time in the forums and get to know people that way...I have been here for a very short time and have made many unbelievable friends...and if friends is all I find... I am truly blessed by having them. There really are a lot of great people here...may not get what you are looking for today...but no harm done in making friends along the way...Good Luck to you

I had the same response when I first started on this site but there are several things you can do to stop that:
There is a filter setting for Intimate encounter.....click that as a big fat NO!
In your profile....if they read it, make sure that you state in there that you do NOT give out personal info and that you don't want thiers as well... I get the occasional idiot who didn't read it and ask for my persoan info and I curtly ask them to re-read my words....Good Luck and hang in there, there are alot of great people here!

Thanks. Problem is... I get on a dating site and ONLY get jerks, or have to wade through 60 or 70 of them to make one friend who is too far away. There has to be a good man in Kansas, somewhere... Maybe I should hide behind an avatar? Then maybe they wouldn't move so fast.

I have a couple of cartoon pic's and a few pic's of myself and it really doesn't matter what you put up, Your new and pretty and it seems the first men who looked at my profile and talked to me where the jerks....but I am really picky and you have the choice to delete and be-friend. Stay in the forums.....seems like that's the best way to get to know the great ones!

Constance, just get in the forums, get known, the other ladies will help you with the jerks.
I think we have a pretty good family here, with time you might find something nice in Kansas.
