Topic: If you've been hurt | |

I think every person, every situation, is different, and needs to be seen as a fresh, new opportunity for happiness. Except for all the ones I've been involved with, those were all the same. i think we should set up your ex's with mine.. they sound perfect for eachother! lol You didn't by any chance ever go out with the Unabomber, did you? Because I would love to set up my ex-wife with him! |

Better yet, who hasn't felt pain or suffering through the course of a relationship?
The optimist would say: What can I learn from this experience? The pesimist would say: No sense in opening up to fully to another person again! Whether you side with the optimist or pesimist, my questions for you is: which would you rather be in a relationship with- someone who is optimistic or pesimistic? Better yet, would you rather be in a relationship with someone who give whole-heartedly or part-heartedly? Cheers! mudfrog |

If you've been hurt before..do you find yourself holding back when trying to start a new relationship? or has hurt from the past ruined a current relationship? I find myself a bit less trusting than I should be...but not just in a potential romantic relationship...I find it more difficult to trust anyone than I ever have before. Hoping to learn how to establish healthy boundaries instead of building walls. (Thanks, (((Mirror x 2)))! ) |

I am scared sh**less because I have been hurt so many times. I just bite the bullet and hang on for dear life and hope it doesn't happen again.

I daresay it would be hard to find anyone past the age of 25 who has not been deeply hurt at least once in their lives. Pain is part of the journey.

Yes many of us have been hurt and maybe unknowingly hurt someone else but It makes me more cautious in a good way.No rebounds.
