I've certainly been hurt before and make a concentrated effort to not bring old stuff into new relationships. It's always underlying though.

I'm a little more cautious, but it's not going to stop me from getting involved with someone new.

I'm cautious and I tend to examine things too closely, but I know I do it so, no, it doesn't ruin my relationship now. 5 months and still in it.

I've always held back when it comes to new relationships regardless of my previous relationships. I saw my mom go through a lot when I was a child and I tried to learn from her mistakes. Also, I was such a tomboy that I had more guy friends than girl friends anyway. This carried on into my love life as I really didn't know any other way to deal with guys, I naturally just became their friend first. This does become a problem at times as some guys take just being their friend as rejection.
Yes, I have been hurt but only because when things didn't work out I was losing a friend as well. (Not always the case but some people cant handle being friends after they break up.) |
