Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.

I can kinda see that - but I'm still on my first cup of coffee.

I heard depression was repressed anger.

I suffer from depression. And I can tell you when I get into my moods, I do not feel angry one bit. I feel, sad, hurt, rejected, tossed aside, invisible. And I start to feel like everybody is out to get me. So I do not think it is a form of anger.

Voices tell me "Don't laugh at Giggle's funnies"
Just can't help it |

i used to have a big problem with it, still do sometimes - and i can say from MY experience, that i was very angry about the things i felt, but then again situational depression is different than clinical depression, so it depends on which matte you speak of.

I don't know, but the times I've been depressed have been when I've turned my anger on myself. True, it has never been what could be seen as enthusiastic for me...but it has had different levels of destructive energy depending on the episode.
