How do I get my Epson R1800 to work as a network printer so the laptop (VISTA) can use it? what

Already know the HP720 doesn't have a driver for VISTA...that means a new printer I guess and a new scanner. Can't complain they have worked well for 10 years.

And I thought all that would be needed with laptop was a case and wireless mouse. oops

Share the printer on the other computer

Log into the vista computer, and drive the shared Printer in network properties

Right/click, connect

should connect it

Is there somthing im missing?

It should...but is asking for an ".inf" file. Which I have no idea where it would be. There is a VISTA driver update available. Can I install that on the laptop without installing everything else.

In not I do have to bend over and crawl in to the maze of cables....may never see the light of day again.

whats the name of the .inf file? .Inf files are generally Driver files, well they contain the drivers for the software of the priner

You have to actually establish the connection with the printer on both sides, granted you can install the software on the laptop, this in turn will get rid of the .inf error and should connect the printer

looking for a driver =)
