When did my marriage start to go wrong? Right after the reception ended, when he took me to a crappy "by the hour" motel because he had never been to one and wanted to see what it was like. Stuck it out though for five years and one month before I kicked his azz out. Took two years for the papers to be signed--the day after what would have been our seventh anniversary.

14 years for the papers. 13.5 years before I left.

17 years married- together for 5 yrs prior to that.
