My brother and his wife have signed the final papers for their divorce. He wants to leave the town that he has lived in for many decades and start over fresh, giving up his job that he has had for many decades as well. He is cashing everything in just to get away from there the reason is that none of our family is still alive in that area. So this would be the third time he and his wife have done this. Now the questions I have asked him trying to find answers out are not being addressed. So would you take in a relative that has pulled this "needing a place" in the past? I know as brothers we have had our differences. But he has given those habits up years ago. I am not just too sure if I want to do this. I have been there in the past and he just goes back. I have been trying to make him think about all the facts before making the move to here.

He is your brother....and regardless of how many times it takes...be there for him...you never know when you will not have the chance to do so...his choices may not be the ones you would make for him...but that is why they belong to him. If he keeps going back, they are showing that they are trying and I could never hold that against anyone...and he will know when it is enough.

Thank you for your response. I know that I should do this without thinking, But my brother has done this to me a few time in the past. This time I do believe it is a final thing between them. So I will probably go to Illinois. this next Friday.
