there is a way to be spiritual and not be religious because it happened in the bible when God choose unlikely people to do great things... religion is just a set of rules but spirituality is a gift from God....the holy spirit GET IT???? WHOOPSIE DAISY...careful there...you said "GOD"! ![]() ************************************************** Believe in a 'higher' power. Don't go to church. " ^^ WHOOPSIE DAISY...you said..."BELIEVE, but don't go to CHURCH" in the same breath! ![]() ********************************************************* Trust me gals...I'm in your corner(s)...but, in such a potentially volitile and touchy thread...don't you think you need to expound? I haven't yet, and perhaps your reasons are the same as mine, but I just LOVE to sit back, eat popcorn...and watch! ![]() |

Why would 'dogma' be required to contain or express that which I naturally am?

who that say to love does not show a core belief that others do not love, which show themself to not love, and only seek most to be loved, which show love is percieved to be as "say what i wanna hear, do as i want you to do, and for gods sake, you better not do anything that displease me, or i'll tell you to love others, lol......

geez it's only a debate..besides I told you that it was impossible to be spiritual without being religious..so don't be sorry just think of it as being "Enlighten" .. Ummm...errm...care to "Enlighten" ME on your self-professed all-knowing above quote...for "debate's sake", of course. ![]() Seems you are less than eloquently confusing "spirit" with a "god"...but, as usual...I could be wrong... ![]() well first you have to give an example how one can be spiritual without being religious and then I will "enlighten" you how you in fact did include religion into it ...it's impossible to be spiritual without being religious ..for one to believe that they can is the self-deception of fantasy |

"Dawnyhi" if it happened in the bible by a God then that makes it religious ...you keep trying to prove your point using the bible and that's a total contradiction on your part ...if you are trying to prove someone can be spiritual without being religious then you can't use the fact that they are religious to prove that they aren't religious |

Of course you can be spiritual without being religious. Who said you can't? Funches? Forget him he don't know nuttin. I am spiritual without being religious. Here's how: Believe in a 'higher' power. Don't go to church. Simple. JB the fact that you believe in a higher power is what makes you religious the fact that you don't go to church could be due to the possiblity that there may not be a church that cater to your brand of religon |

To be inspired is to live in spirit ... how on earth is that 'dogma'?
To walk in nature and feel the vibration off the trees and the earth ... how is that palpable experience dogma? I would argue that this is the very thing that is taught 'out of us' through religious indoctrination. It really isn't okay to be different... Spirituality can be found through religion ... but spirituality does not require religion... |

you dont gotta there are many forms of spirituality like karma and the like...it is knowing that you are not the ultimate one and your ego is faulty so there is a guiding force and the things like luck and such are the gifts we recieve due to unscene forces... a surprise in reality that brings us happiness!!
