Umm..no, if your daughter only wanted YOU to come..then you should respect her wishes. This is her accomplishment, her glory, her day..if you want a family reunion, plan one at a later date. And I do believe it to be true, there is a limited number of seating to attend these functions.

I agree with you JohnCarl. I think she's messing with your head!! I would call an authority somehow, see how you can get your hands on more than one invitation. Perhaps your ex is holding the other tickets for her people and intentionally or not will therefore alienate you.

It very well could be.. email your daughter and ask? If in the Navy it might be hard for her to get to a phone.

No, don't use this time to prove a point. If only you can go...go...you wil regret missing out on this special time in her life.

Call and explain your situation and ask if you can get more tickets.

Even if you are left with just the one ticket, the most important thing you can do is to BE THERE for your daughter. Don't listen to what anyone has to say about it!

Usually there is limited seating at these events, & unfortunatley not all that would like to attend can. I think maybe a military graduation isn't the place to meet your grandparents & sister for the 1st time. Taking them all out for dinner afterwards where the metting would not be quite so public would be better. If you don't trust your ex then try dealing directly with your daughter.
