If you made an honest mistake, but your Lover blows it out of proportion, gets upset and won't talk to you, how much time do you give Him/Her... to come to their sense's ? I say 3 day's is enough ! 24 hours is the most anyone needs to realize there was a mistake and after that a sit down talk is in order.....If it takes longer than that then anger management needs to be applied. Problems don't get solved with the silent treatment! |

It depends on the person.................I like to gather my thoughts so I need sometimes 24 to 36 hours so that I dont make an A$$ of myself or say the wrong thing...............especially if you really care about the person..............

If it's something simple like you said - just forgetting something minor - a couple of days is all it should take for someone to cool down. Any longer than that and the issue might be bigger than just that one incident.
