Does ANYONE iron their clothes anymore? I have one and never use it, unless I'm putting patches on something. When wrinkly I put it in the drier and fluff 'em!

I have a couple work shirts that I usually need to iron. But I ended up getting other shirts that don't need ironing.. so I barely ever use it.

My mom always used one, my grandma always had a hot iron out that us kids would give the adults grey hairs running around. Now it seems like no one uses them. If I have a fancy shirt or dress I send them to the dry cleaners.

I know how to use one and I use mine occasionally but it scares the heck out of me. When I was 4 I was trying to climb on to a chair and I reached up on the ironing board to brace myself just as my Mom was bringing the iron across it and it went right over my fingers. Got 3rd degree burns. That memory has stuck with me and every time I go to use my iron I am scared to death that I am going to get burned.

When going to dress affairs or special meetings, I touch up my shirts. Gotta look good & that's a task.
