Keeper Of The Garden



the garden of night has a keeper
she glides through the stark on her wings
keeping the light from disappearing
too quickly
as sweetly she sings
her song has a slow trill
a quiver
a quiet and subduing hold
surrounding the moon with reflection
embracing the world in the cold
her wings hover over the moon beam
dancing the milky way trail
she is the shine and the sparkle
that glitters
her soul blanket sails
this garden and keeper of midnight
rests when the sun kisses morn
awaiting the shadows and evening
when need for her heart is reborn
