I do think that would be an amazing experience!
Imagine seeing the galaxy spread before you as you "launch" into a new journey of your own!  It would be humbling and exciting at the same time...two people merging their respective worlds to create their own universe that ~ while very special ~ is just a small part of something so much bigger! 
( I know....I'm a sap!!)  Would be hell to get a marriage license though....
