A harrowing tale born from a legal bind
Remnants remaining of an anguished mind So brutally fashioned from words of hate A crippling scorn shaped my somber fate Young & careless left my boundaries thin Pitifully;I attempt to trace its origin By scalpel-ed tongue had stolen my worth Such inky darkness had been given birth Prayer for deliverance which never came An earthly soul with my forgotten name Slippage of sanity throughout the years Drowned by my sorrow and saltine tears Such a fool am I for lying in such waste Sulfurous breath left me deadened taste Slicing furiously with such a malcontent Piercing ever so deeply my will had bent Hung precariously on some distilled hope More empathy given from a hangman's rope I hid these scars from my children's eyes A silence reigned over my muffled cries 3 precious daughters is what held me fast Such depth less love that eternally lasts By such a reasoning I would never succumb A darkness prevailed while I came undone Her victory came by destruction of a Man Another stained jewel sits upon her hand Secluded existence for now I bask in fear I thirst for love though she doesn't hear Should resilience be rewarded I often ask Or am I condemned by this ill lined past Shall I welcome death upon a bended knee Or search for my Goddess ever faithfully Hear my pleas beyond these shadowed walls For I'm but a mere mortal destined to fall Written by CyPoet 7/19/08
