Just got a new laptop. bigsmile bigsmile

Figured out how to move my Itune file over to it. Just one problem. It won't let me sync all the music. The music that I purchased can only be sync from my desktop. Plan on using the laptop that. Any suggestions?

Have you tried moving all the files over to the laptop?

Yes. All the files were moved over using the back up option. However, it will not allow me to sync from the laptop. grumble grumble grumble grumble That is what I want to be able to do. Use the Desktop for backing things up on.

Try transfering them over directly to the laptop using a USB cable.

Hi redshirt, if anyone can solve your problem it will be colin. I think he may be right using the USB. But he will explain it to you. USB is great for transferring photos pivtures etc so it should work for files.

Sit tight and await his response.

Best of luck with your new laptop.

I heard 'colecovision' and I had to reply. Add intellevision, original pong, sega saturn, and a few other goodies, and it's a trip down memory lane for me

Redshirt: Here's a kbase that shows you how to transfer that backup correctly

After that, make sure that on your new computer, you sign into itunes, and AUTHORIZE your new computer to transfer (sync) purchases to. Do that from the 'Store' menu. You can have up to five computers authorized to hold your purchased content at one time.

You try updating itunes or maybe your computer and What are you running it on also?

It could be you need some updates maybe, or just do what they said "USB importing"
