If you are planning on co habitating this should be worked out before hand. Of course things come up, & if you are a couple you probably respect his opinion, but the 1st rule should be, stand united in front of the child & discuss differences away from them. This should apply to all adults involved in raising a kid. Of course if the child isn't his, then your word is final. This is a big reason I broke up with my last boyfriend. I knew I could not agree with the way he treated his kids & it would be a problem if we lived together. He could not even discuss it with me, & I told him it would be an issue if we lived together that could not be avoided.
