I didn't realize it was about Peccy & Angel, I thought it was just a general "what if" question.

Bending...No. Co-enforcing Yes. Ya' got to work together.

Only spank Peccy...he would enjoy it. On second thought...don't spank him...that would be his punishment.

When I dated a widower with two small kids I knew the rules he wanted enforced like, no snacks after 4 and what kinds of snacks they were to be (like if I picked them up from school) They were told that I knew his wishes and that they were to mind me. But so far as coming up with things on my own, no..I let him handle that.

The only way I would let that happen would be if I was married to the guy and he was the only father figure who came in before the age of 4 or 5. If my child had myself, and their father then the step father would be a friend role, not a parent role. Step parents should not try to break your already set rules. Should they back you up, yes. However, its up to you to set and enforce the rules.

I feel that if the couple get married then yes, there should be rules to follow at any age as to both parties supporting that child/ren.. If you are supporting someone elses children then you should have SOME say so in what goes on in YOUR house as well. Both parties should first talk about it and make sure its an understanding first.
