about her black eye ( her 4th one this year ) and how she got it... but I can't get her to admit it. I know it's her so called bf that did it, what can I do? She's an employee of mine...

Nothing. There's nothing you can do, but make it clear to her that if she ever needs you, you'll be there.

Does your company have some type of Employee Assistance Program that you could refer her to? Otherwise, I don't know what else you can do besides offer your support.

All you can do is let her know you are there for her...give her a number where you can be reached if she needs to talk after business hours and pray that she gets the help she needs. She will know when she has had enough and hopefully it own't be too late...I will think of you bothflowerforyou

I would call victim's assistance or a battered women's shelter and ask them. It is a touchy subject. I would say she needs to be willing to admit to herself there is a problem before she will be willing to talk about it.

But you know her better. Will she respond to confrontation? She might leave or get help if she knows she can have support/understanding, and not feel guilty.

pick up a dozen business cards from a local battered womens shelter and leave them one at a time on her desk or just put one in her hand and tell her that you are there for her if she wants to talk. She might get offended at first, but thats just a defense mechanism.

pull her aside and let her know that you are concerned and there if she needs you. That's all you really can do ohwell

you can't force her to be ready to escape it...

My experience has been that unless the police see it, unless you are dying or dead, there is very little to be done.

The only thing you can do is be there for her. She has to make up her own mind as to when she has had enough.

I have tried talking to her... she simply will not admit that he did it. I don't care who you are... no one gets 4 black eyes in a matter of 6 months accidentally

the problem is... typically when someone confronts the abuser, he will just take it out on her cuz he knows damn well he can't take it out on me
